Twisted science

Of the many magazines which cross my desk, the least contentious has to be Kew, published by the Royal Botanical Gardens. It comes as part of the Friends of Kew package and is something of an horticulturalist’s (not a category into which I fall) delight. A typical photo caption reads: “DNA analysis reveals that cycad species such as Encephalartos woodii in Kew’s Temperate House aren’t quite as ancient as once thought.” An acquired taste, clearly.
