Murdoch’s daughter sues Desmond

Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of media tycoon Rupert, is suing Five owner Richard Desmond over an unpaid bill for a show made by her production company, reports MediaGuardian.

Shine TV has accused Desmond’s Northern & Shell of “throwing its weight around” after it allegedly sought to renegotiate the fee being paid for the flop talent show Don’t Stop Believing.

Desmond is understood to be refusing to pay a seven-figure invoice submitted by Murdoch’s production company for the show, which previous owner RTL signed before selling Five to Desmond.
