Sky raids BBC for F1 presenters

They might be sharing Formula One coverage next season, but Sky has moved quickly to ensure the BBC won’t be keeping hold of five of its key presenters.

Joining the coup signing of Martin Brundle, Radio 5′s David Croft will take the role of lead commentator. Part-time practice commentary will come courtesy of Radio 5′s Anthony Davidson.

In the pits will be Ted Kravitz and Natalie Pinkham, performing the same roles they carried out for the BBC last season.

Sky has recruited from within for the presenter roles, however. Rugby anchor Simon Lazenby will lead coverage, while Georgie Thompson will front planned magazine shows on Sky’s F1-specific channel.
