The New York Times has announced that it will implement Facebook Connect into its website, despite plans to go behind a paywall in 2011.
The service will allow readers to log in to the NY Times website with their Facebook accounts and share content among friends.
Unlike the UK Times, which went pay-only in July and eschewed social networking, the NY Times clearly sees value in being able to distribute its content via platforms such as Facebook.
