Google and AP strike new content deal

News content from Associated Press will continue to be published via Google, as the two companies agreed a fresh licence deal.

It has been reported that AP was demanding access to real-time metrics and better pay for its stories throughout negotiations, but it is unknown if these factors were agreed upon.

Google has said it will endeavour to create a better user experience and new revenue opportunities.
