Galloway in phone-hacking claim

The News of the World’s phone-hacking scandal has resurfaced after former MP George Galloway demanded over £300,000 in damages from the title’s publisher.

The outspoken former Respect MP has launched legal action against News Group Newspapers and claims his voicemail was illegally intercepted between February 2005 and August 2006.

Galloway is also suing private investigator Glenn Mulcaire under allegations of “gross invasion”.
