Mail Online is Europe’s most read news site

The latest ABCes have coincided with a new report analysing the readership of newspaper websites across Europe – underlining Mail Online’s dominance over rivals not just in the UK but on the continent too.

According to a comScore study based on June this year, Mail Online hogs a whole ten per cent of the European online audience with 17.2m unique visits.

Guardian.co.uk follows with an eight per cent share (13.5m), meaning Bild – the highest circulating paper in the western world – only takes third place with six per cent (9.9m)

In November’s ABCes, Mail Online took in another huge number of unique browsers over the course of the month, taking its monthly total to within touching distance of 85m.

The Sun, meanwhile, has rejoined the ABCes, slotting in at fourth place between Telegragh.co.uk and the Mirror Group Network with a monthly total of 24.2m.
