Financial Times puts up price

The price of the weekday Financial Times has increased the price of its weekday edition to £2.50.

The price hike, a 30p rise on the previous cost, has been put down to “increased distribution and production cost levels” according to a spokeswoman. It is also being hailed as a signal of “the investment made in the quality of our content”.

FT‘s publisher, Pearson, is also upping the price of the weekend edition of the newspaper to £3.

It’s the second price increase for the paper in three months, following an increase from £2 to £2.20 in October.
